Aesthetics is a philosophical discipline that has a significant overlap with art studies. It examines the nature of beauty in art, but also in the non-artistic sphere – In industrial production, mass media, natural environment, etc. Aesthetics contributes to the knowledge of the world and the times by analysing the different ways of the artistic understanding of the world and also the changing forms of aesthetic perception and values.
