International project “Centre of Active Ageing - Centrum of competences for physical activity in everyday life; prevention and health promotion of the elderly” financing programme INTERREG V-A Slovakia-Austria (SK-AT/2016/04), which started in March 2019 and is supposed to end in February 2022. The overall budget is 3 194 000 € and 2 317 714 € is for the Slovak part (Comenius University). The principal investigator is a deputy-manager of the project, responsible for the research activities within the work packages. The expected results are 1) constructing a new venue of "Center of Active Aging" (CAA) in Bratislava, 2) development of preventive activities and health promotion services for seniors within and outside of CAA. The cooperation of the two main partners with 13 strategic partners should ensure involvement of approx. 900 senior citizens from Bratislava and Austrian border villages yearly in training and education activities.
