IX. - Other relevant facts

IX.a - If relevant, other activities related to higher education or research/artistic/other activities are mentioned

Since 2007, on behalf of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences I am involved in cooperation with the International Committee for Historical Sciences ICHS/CISH. I have participated actively in the world congresses in Amsterdam (2010) and in Poznań in 2022 where I led the session The Holy See and the Revolutions of the 19th and 20th Centuries.

On behalf of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences I am involved in international scientific activities of this papal institution, in co-organizing of international scientific conferences in Rome /Vatican (e.g. on the Second Vatican Council, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the conclusion of the First World War, etc.) and in other parts of Europe, many times in cooperation with the international organisation for religious history CIHEC, with the Catholic University Leuven, with national historical institutes in Rome, etc. In 2013, on behalf of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences and with the participation of historians from nine countries, I have organised at the Comenius University in Bratislava the international scientific conference “The Saints Cyrill and Methodius and their religious and cultural heritage as a bridge between East and West” that was greeted by a special letter of Pope Francis.

Since the opening of the documentation of Pius XII in the Vatican archives I have been doing a systematic research on the postwar part of this pontificate and I am integrated in the international scientific research community and its networks. I was invited to the very first international scientific conference dedicated to this topic, organized in Rome in 2021, I have been cooperating with the large international research project launched by a consortium of French universities GLOBALVAT, I have published several scientific articles in foreign scientific journals registrated in citation indexes, a chapter in a publication edited by Berghahn Oxford - New York, I have held a lecture in the framework of a series of research lectures organised by École française de Rome in Rome and streamed online into the whole scientific community in the world, on the results of the research I have informed also in my own section a t the World Congress of historians in Poznan in 2022.

I have been awarded the Prize of Richard Georg Plaschka of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (2004), the Prize Fides et Ratio of the Slovak Bishops’ Conference (2014), in 2015 I was nominated Woman of the Year in the Science and Research category, in 2020 I have received the Commemorative medal on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Comenius University and in 2024 the Daniel Rapant Prize of the Historical Section of Matica slovenská for my scientific work.
