2015 – 2017: NATUR-Edu – nature exploring and protection in the city (KEGA 070UK-4/2015) - project co-solver. The project was focused on application of new forms and technologies in education. At the same time this project has created conditions for biodiversity enhancement and has supported the survival of protected and endangered species in urban environment. The main contributions of the project are observable in three dimensions, namely at scientific, ecosozological and educational level. New scientific experiences were gained by creating new habitats for selected plant and refugees for animal species in urban environment, and by observing their colonization. After realizing the above mentioned activities the suitable refugee possibilities have expand and they provide new shelters for protected and endangered species. These activities contributed as well to improvement of education at primary and secondary schools, and also at universities.
Toxic effects of heavy metals to photosynthetic organisms and biota in the environmentally polluted localities. spoluriešiteľ/ co-solver (VEGA 1/0332/18) .
2019 - 2022: Proactivities for biodiversity in the regions of Slovakia [ITMS 2014+: 310011N463] - project co-solver. The aim of the project is the implementation of activities aimed at involving the general public in the active protection of nature and biodiversity within micro-regions, raising environmental awareness and finding solutions in a proactive way. The main target group of the project is the general public. We want to provide relevant information on environmental issues, threat factors of its components, but also the possibilities of nature and landscape protection, green infrastructure, strengthening biodiversity and improving the overall quality of the environment in individual regions of Slovakia. https://fns.uniba.sk/bioreg/.
2019-2022: . Ecosystem approaches to assessing of anthropogenic changed territories according to selected indicating groupsof species. The aim of the project is via the ecosystem approach to identify the autochthonous microbiota representatives in selected blackfields and brownfields using biochemical and molecular methods (next-generation sequencing), to determine their physiologic properties and to create a geodatabase of these autochthonous microbiota representatives with particular attributes. The most frequent sources of negative anthropogenic influences of the environment in Slovakia include old mining and processing areas and contaminated and qualitatively disadvantaged areas such as anthropogenic salty soils. These kind of soils and types of land cover are the focus of research.
