1

APVV n. APVV-14-0070 „Science Curriculum for Primary School 2020“ - head of the research team in UK. The applied research project was focused on the science education of Slovak primary school pupils. The aim was to create a concept and organization of a science curriculum that would ensure the change in science education in line with current European trends. The project was evaluated as the research project with an excellent level in the field of social sciences.

Vega 1/0166/16 The identification of pupils’ misconceptions and possibilities of their elimination within didactic reconstruction of key chemistry fields at primary and secondary schools head of the research team. The project aimed to find ways to identify and subsequently suppress student misconceptions in key areas of chemistry taught in primary and secondary schools. For these purposes, the possibilities, boundaries and ways of using less used resources such as concept maps, clustering, essays, divergent learning tasks, conceptual learning tasks, complex learning tasks, etc. were explored. Model approaches to minimize identified student misconceptions were tested.
