VI.5 - Participation in conducting (leading) the most important research projects or art projects over the last six years
1

APVV - 17-0178, 2018 –2022 -Consequences of the circadian disruption by artificial light at night on physiological and behavioral processes (co-investigator). The project addresses the negative effects of light contamination on physiological processes regulating the cardiovascular and immune systems in laboratory mammals and analyzes melatonin levels as a suitable indicator of light pollution

2

APVV-16-0209 Circadian and ontogenetic regulation of miRNA in mammals. 1.7.2017 – 30.6.2021 (co-investigator). The most important output of this project is analysis of the daily profile in expression of key components of miRNA biosynthesis: Drosha, DGCR8 (DiGeorge syndrome critical region 8) and Dicer. Both enzymes and cofactor DGCR8 were determined in the central oscillator (suprachiasmatic nuclei of the hypothalamus) and in the peripheral oscillators (heart, liver, and kidneys) during a 24h cycle in animals synchronized under light(L):dark(D) conditions 12L:12D.

3

VEGA 1/0492/19, 2019 –2022 Desynchronization of circadian rhythms in selected animal models of diseases of civilization (co-investigator). The project addresses the consequences of disruption of circadian rhythms at the central and peripheral level, especially in terms of metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity.
