VI.5 - Participation in conducting (leading) the most important research projects or art projects over the last six years
1

VEGA-1/0255/15 Community structure and life strategies of macrozoobenthos in carstic springs of Western Carpathians (principal investigator) Project summary: The project deals with the study of the macrozoobenthos assemblages structure in karst springs in Slovakia and the analysis of the influence of ecological factors affecting these assemblages at both local and regional scale.

2

VEGA-1/0119/16 Effect of riverine landscape and stream regulations on the benthic invertebrates in lotic habitats (scientific co-worker), Project summary: The main goal of the project is to determine the trajectory of the influence of abiotic and biotic factors in the original and degradation-affected streams of the riverine landscape.

3

VEGA-1/0127/20 Benthic Life in Karst Springs: Linkage between ecological isolation of spring and functional composition as well as phylogenetic diversity of the benthic organisms (deputy of the principal investigator) Project summary: The present project should bring new insights to process forming benthic communities in karst springs of the Western Carpathians.

4

APVV-14-0279 Sandstone caves - a clue to the origin of South-American table mountains - tepuis. (scientific co-worker). The project is focused on multidisciplinary geoscientific-biological research of unique table mountains – tepuis, which are situated in the northern part of South America. Aim of the geoscientific part of the research is verification of the theory about the tepuis origin due to descending diagenetic fluids. This theory was one of the main results of the previous successful project APVV 0251-07 and the new, submitted project represents its continuation. The biological research is aimed at evolutionary and ecological factors that influence the development of unique tepuis biotope, which is, due to isolation from the ambient reas, a unique evolutionary laboratory.
