2017-2019 YOUMIG (Interreg - Danube Transnational Programme) - Improving institutional capacities and fostering cooperation to tackle the impacts of transnational youth migration (2017-2019), external expert, info: http://www.interreg-danube.eu/approved-projects/youmig /The project aimed at boosting institutional capacities to enhance the scarce local evidence on youth migration, contributing to improved policymaking with a focus on human capital, understanding of youth migration patterns, assisting in local migration indicators development and tailored local development strategies.
APVV VV-17-0079 -Analysis and forecast of demographic development of the Slovak Republic in the horizon 2080: identification and modelling of impacts on socioeconomic spheres in different spatial scales (Slovak Research and Development Agency - SRDA) - investigator The project focused on analyses and predictions of demographic development and impacts on the localities, regions and the national level, the output were several simulations and variants of demographic development up to the horizon of 2100.
2020-2022 - VEGA 1/0278/20 - The relation of legitimacy, governance and public finance at the local level in Slovakia in geographical perspective - investigator (deputy chair of the project) Project covers less deeply analysed issues of legitimacy at the local level. It contributes to basic conceptual framework, focuses of legitimacy of key local actors (e.g. mayors), pay attention to spatial and size differences, stability, develop typology at the level of local governments.
2023-2025 - VEGA 1/0252/23 - Resilience of spatial systems - its factors, differentiation and consequences - The project focuses on examining various characteristics of spatial systems, especially their resilience and ability to absorb, mitigate the impact of, or adapt to the challenges of recent decades such as economic crises, climate change, the COVID pandemic, demographic changes (and their mutual interdependencies) - project leader.
2024-2027 - APVV-23-0062 - Depopulation and destabilization? Forecasts and simulations of demographic development in the Slovak Republic until the end of the 21st century and modeling of its selected impacts - The project focuses on the analysis of demographic processes and structures applying new methods and knowledge, preparation of new demographic forecasts and simulations of demographic development, selected human-geographical and social implications of demographic changes.
