VEGA 1/0704/20 Biodiversity of model groups of Arthropoda in central and south-eastern Europe -scientific coworker - The project solves the biodiversity of arthropod model groups – pseudoscorpionids (Arachnida: Pseudoscorpiones) and black flies (Insecta: Diptera: Simuliidae) in central and south-eastern Europe. For groups of closely related species it investigates their taxonomic status and forming of their areas during the geological history. The project integrates the morphological, chromosomal and molecular analysis, which creates basis for definite solution of complicated taxonomy characteristic for the majority of European species. The project evaluates the biodiversity on genetic and species level, identifies biodiversity centres, rare species and provides data for conservation of Western Palearctic water courses and forest biodiversity.
APVV-15-0147 Reconstruction of phylogeny and delimitation of protistan and animal species -scientific co-worker-This project is focused on complex study of integrity of species of protists and animlas, with the aid of morphological and molecular methods. Its main goal is to unravel common evolutionary patterns and principles standing beyond phylogeny of species of eukaryotic organisms. Combined phylogenetic analyses will help to clarify systematic position of problematic and novel taxa as well as to define already described taxa.
APVV-19-0076 Diversity and evolution of selected groups of protists and animals -scientific co-worker-
This project is focused on complex investigation of diversity and evolution of selected groups of protists and animals, using the up-to-date morphological and molecular methods. Its main goal is to formally describe new and re-describe insufficiently known taxa, analyze their evolution and phylogenetic position, and hence contribute to a more precise delimitation of species boundaries and inventarization of biodiversity.
