APVV-21-0147 - Progressive plasma technologies applicable in agriculture pre-surface treatment of seeds, seeds and dry fruits - member of the research team - The aim of the project is the study of atmospheric NTP generated by different types of sources relevant for application in agriculture to different types of plant models. The research is aimed at evaluating the overall effect of NTP on seeds and dry fruits. The effects of plasma will be investigated on changes in physico-chemical properties on the surface of seeds, on growth, physiological, biochemical, molecular-biological and anatomical aspects of plants after treatment of seeds with plasma, and potential genotoxic or antigenotoxic effect.
VEGA-1/0745/20 - Plant resistance induction against phytophagous sucking insects with non-toxic silicon - member of the research team - The goal of this project is to find out if silicon application can enhance the plant shoot defence against phytopathogenic insects either by specific deposition of silicate aggregates or by metabolic changes in the plant shoots.
APVV-16-0216 - Advanced plasma technology for ecological agriculture and food industry - member of the research team - The main aim of the proposed project is the design, construction and verification of prototype plasma device representing a new, alternative technology of plant seeds treatment for sowing and commodities destined for human nutrition and farm animals. Besides the parameter optimalization of the plasma device based on the evaluation of LTP effect on seeds/plant fruits the emphasis will be put on clarification of the effect of various plasma constituents.
VEGA 1/0755/16 - Silicon-mediated inhibition of fungal phytopathogen invasion into the plant roots - member of the research team - The goal of this project was to find out if the silicon application can enhance the root defence against phytopathogenic fungus either by specific deposition of silicate aggregates or by metabolic changes in the plant roots.
APVV-17-0164 - Potential of silicon in alleviation of toxicity of arsenic and antimony in crops - member of the research team - Project is focused on investigation of phytotoxic effects of selected metabolites (As, Sb) and study of potential protective effects of Si on alleviation of negative effects of metalloids in respect to plant anatomy, biochemistry, physiology and molecular biology.
