Deputy Project Leader of VEGA project "Ensuring the operation of the constitutional bodies of the Slovak Republic during special situations: current possibilities, limits and possible solutions", funded by the Scientific Grant Agency of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Academy of Sciences (project No. 1/0824/21). Annotation: According to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, conditions for declaring an emergency state, declaring a state of crisis and the manner of exercising public authority during these situations shall be laid down by a constitutional act. These conditions are enshrined in act no. 227/2002 Coll. Until March 2020, the constitutional bodies were not confronted with a situation that could fully test the quality of this regulation. This was changed after COVID-19 pandemic, which has significantly affected proper functioning of constitutional bodies in many countries. Project has therefore an ambition to examine the regulation of state security in the context of eventual dysfunctionality of the constitutional bodies. Every single deficiency of regulation can have a significant impact on the system of brakes and counterweights and thus on the principle of division of power, which belongs to basic guarantees of the substantive rule of law, ensuring protection of status and full-featured life of every individual.

In November 2020, the Rector of Comenius University awarded Vincent Bujňák the Commemorative Letter of Comenius University on the occasion of the celebration of the International Students' Day, upon the proposal of the Dean of the Faculty of Law of Comenius University. Dedication. "Dr. Vincent Bujňák has made a significant contribution to Slovak scholarship in the field of constitutional law. His significant contribution lies in his popularization activities and opinions presented to the general public, thus contributing to the strengthening of legal awareness in Slovakia."
