Awarded the SMA Prize for Best Publication of the Year 2001, 2007. Recipient of the Fogarty Scholarship and participation in a one-year scholarship stay in the USA (University at Albany, State University of New York, Albany, New York) from 1997 to 1998. Honorable Mention at the Fifth International Symposium and Exhibition on Environmental Contamination in Central and Eastern Europe, held from September 12 to 14, 2000.

Completed a one-year stay in Italy (Joint Research Centre, European Commission, Ispra (VA), Italy) from October 1, 2001, to October 1, 2002, as a visiting scientist in the Food Products Unit, Institute for Health and Consumer Protection. Collaborated on the PECO project, which aimed to foster cooperation with candidate countries in the field of food safety and health. Authored two European Commission reports (EU reports EUR 20410 EN and EUR 20255 EN, 2002).

Awarded a SAIA scholarship under the Slovak National Scholarship Programme to support mobility during 2007/2008, including a five-week stay at New York University, School of Medicine, New York, USA. Invited to collaborate on the international FP7 EU project European Network on Noise and Health (ENNAH), coordinated by Professor Stephen Stansfeld of the London School of Medicine & Dentistry, UK. Conducted expert activities for the European Commission and WHO.

Invited as a WHO expert to the workshop “Burden of Disease from Environmental Noise”, held on October 14-15, 2010, in Bonn, Germany, and collaborated on publications such as “Assessment of needs for capacity-building for health risk assessment of environmental noise: Case studies” (edited by Goran Belojevic, Rokho Kim, and Stylianos Kephalopoulos, WHO, Copenhagen, Regional Office for Europe, 2012) and “Burden of disease from environmental noise: Practical guidance – Report on a Working Group Meeting, Bonn, Germany, 14-15 October 2010” (WHO, Regional Office for Europe, Copenhagen, 2012).

Provided expert consulting for the Ministry of Health (MZ SR) and the Ministry of Education (MŠ SR) in Slovakia. Offered advice on state health supervision, health protection, and promotion in relation to exposure to environmental noise. Participated in the working group for amending Decree No. 549/2007, which sets permissible noise, infrasound, and vibration levels and establishes requirements for their assessment in the environment.

Awarded a UK scholarship for a 14-day stay at New York University, USA, under a bilateral university agreement in 2010 and 2011. Participated in scientific committees of international conferences, including DYN-WIND (2005–2020), International Acoustic Conferences (2010–2023), and the Vaccinology Congress (2024). Chaired the scientific and organizational committees of the Living Conditions and Health conferences in 2023 and 2024. Reviewed publications for journals such as Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, Yonsei Medical Journal, International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health, Medicina Pracy, Central European Journal of Public Health, and others.

Delivered invited presentations at international conferences, including Inter Noise 2011 in Osaka, Japan (September 3–7, 2011), Inter Noise 2013 in Innsbruck, Austria (September 15–18, 2013), EURONOISE 2015 in Maastricht, INTERNOISE 2022 in Glasgow, and ICBEN 2023 in Belgrade, Serbia, among others. Received the Bronze Medal of the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, for contributions to faculty development on December 10, 2016. Delivered invited lectures at international conferences in Japan, Austria, the Netherlands, Greece, and Serbia.

Since 2022, serving as an external auditor for the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) and a member of the expert audit team for laboratory accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025 in the field of acoustic pressure level measurements in occupational and environmental settings. Additional activities related to higher education or creative endeavors may be included as relevant.
