The article was published in a foreign peer-reviewed journal (IF 1,279) with a long tradition - Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics, which was founded in 1870 and is published by the renowned foreign publishing house Springer Verlag. In this article, we published the results of our 10-year scientific work focused on the evaluation of cerebral circulation by transcranial Doppler sonography in neonates with hydrocephalus. Based on the results of our work, in addition to hemodynamic changes in cerebral circulation before and after drainage, we also presented a detailed analysis of the influence of intracranial morphological factors on Doppler parameters of cerebral circulation. The article was cited by the authors of major world scientific institutions - Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA and Nationwide Children's Hospital and Ohio State University Columbus, Ohio, USA in publication: La Rovere, KL, O'Brien, NF: Transcranial Color-Coded Duplex Sonography: Another Option Besides the Blind Method, Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, 35, 3, 2016, p. 672-673 - SCI, SCOPUSand the corresponding citation

In this article, we presented our initial scientific results aimed at assessing cerebral circulation in children with hydrocephalus using transcranial Doppler sonography. In this paper, we have published preliminary results focusing on the evaluation of basal and compression parameters of the Doppler blood flow curve in the pericallosal artery in children with hydrocephalus. We pointed out the alteration of cerebral circulation before the drainage procedure and the adjustment of hemodynamic parameters after a successful drainage procedure. The results of our work have been cited in major scientific journals: Melo, JRT, Di Rocco, F., Blanot, S., Cuttaree, H., Sainte-Rose, C., Oliveira, J., Zerah, M., Meyer, PG. : Transcranial Doppler can predict intracranial hypertension in children with severe traumatic brain injuries. Childs Nerv Syst 27, 6, 2011, p. 979-984, SCI, SCOPUS; Zamora, C., Tekes, A., Alqahtani, E., Kalayci, O.T., Northington, F., Huisman, T.A.G.M .: Journal of Perinatology, 34, 4, 2014, p. 306-310, SCI, PURPOSE; La Rovere, K.L., O'Brien, N.F., Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, 35, 3, 2016, p. 672-673 - SCI, SCOPUS citation - authors from major scientific institutions Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA and Nationwide Children's Hospital and Ohio State University Columbus, Ohio, USA. I consider the above-mentioned citation responses to be particularly important because the results of our scientific work have been cited by the world's leading experts in pediatric neurosurgery, who deal with the issue of pediatric hydrocephalus. At the same time, it is gratifying that the citation response to our results has appeared in major foreign journals - Childs Nervous System, Journal of Perinatology and Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, which are among the world's leading journals on pediatric neurosurgery and sonography.
