2021-2023 : VEGA 1/0577/21: Vladimír Oleríny: translator, literary and cultural diplomat (chief researcher). The aim of the project is to evaluate systematically the activities of Vladimír Oleríny (1921-2016), an important figure in Slovak Hispanic studies by studying various stages of his professional life in socio-political and cultural context.
2018-2019 : VEGA 1/0587/18 Past and Perspectives of Hispanic Studies in Slovakia (chief researcher). The project focused on the research of the beginnings of teaching Spanish in Slovakia, clarified the historical and cultural circumstances of the activities of the first hispanists. It brought new knowledge about Slovakia´s cultural relations with Hispanic countries in several areas (cinematography, travelling) and presented more comprehensive views on the development of translation from Spanish into Slovak.
2014-2016 : VEGA 1/0853/14 Cervantes´s Don Quixote in the world and in Slovakia (deputy chief researcher). The first comprehensive research on the presence of Cervantes´s novel in Slovakia, its reception and perception in the Slovak literary and cultural context (theatre, film, fine arts) nehind the latest Cervantine research of Spanish and world Cervantists. The aim of the project was to include Slovakia in the mosaic of countries that have already carried out such research in the past.
