VEGA 1/0864/18 Ad Fontes Cynicorum Socraticorum - pramene a interpretácia sokratovského kynizmu. (Ad Fontes Cynicorum Socraticorum - Sources and Interpretation of Socratic Cynism.) VEGA 1/0864/18, 2018-2020, ľ (chief researcher ). The subject of the research project is the historical and philosophical reflection of the Socratic school of thought of ancient cynics. The specificity of the project is the application of the classical „ad fontes“ principle, complemented by the addition of the existing source base in the Slovak language and by interpretations of the newly created source bases in the form of scientific editions of other figures (Crates, Hipparchia, etc.) and interpretative works. The project focuses on the history of cynic ideas and proves that there was a strong non-Platonic tradition inspiring historical as well as present philosophical thought.) https://fphil.uniba.sk/fileadmin/fif/katedry_pracoviska/kfdf/Personal/Kalas/Granty/Ad_Fontes_Cynicorum.pdf                                       https://alis.uniba.sk:8444/lib/item?id=chamo:361746&fromLocationLink=false&theme=EPC                                                                                        https://alis.uniba.sk:8444/lib/item?id=chamo:363158&fromLocationLink=false&theme=EPC

Aristippos a sokratika (Aristippus and the Socratic Movement) VEGA 1/0094/20, 2000-2022, scientific co-worker. The main aim of the project is to interpret Aristippus and the Cyrenaic school as the movement related to two ancient traditions: Socratic ethics and Greek skepticism. During the solution of the project, we are translating all preserved testimonies and doxographical evidences concerning Aristippus. The fragments are being accompanied by extensive commentaries.

Aischinés a sókratovský dialóg (Aeschines and the Socratic dialogue) VEGA 1/0017/17, 2017 - 2019, scientific co-worker. The main aim of the project was to reconstruct the Aeschines' Socratic dialogues, especially his Alcibiades and Aspasia. We published Slovak translation and commentary of extant Aeschines’ fragments as a part of Fontes Socraticorum series, and edited particular papers concerning important relations between Aeschines' dialogues and the dialogues of other companions of Socrates.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           https://alis.uniba.sk:8444/lib/item id=chamo:366887&fromLocationLink=false&theme=EPC [o5] 2021 - Brodňanská, E. : Zlomky Aischina zo Sfétta. Miesto megarikov v sokratovskom hnutí (The place of Megarians in the Socratic Movement), 2023 - 2025, scientific co-worker, The main aim of the project is a complete translation of the fragments of Megarians and the interpretation of the basic themes they bring to the Socratic movement. The next goal is to expand our knowledge of the Socratic movement, which includes other personalities of the first-generation Socratics. One of the direct followers of Socrates Euclid of Megara founded the Megarian School. The Megarian line connects the Socratic search for the good life with the Eleatic tradition, because it considers the goal of life to be the Good. We plan to translate all preserved testimonies and doxographic reports about Euclid and his followers. The translations will be accompanied by an extensive commentary. At the same time, we plan to publish individual papers that will deal with the main topics related to the Megarians, as well as with the overall character of the Socratic movement. The project builds on previous editions of translations of Socratic authors.
