Research of the overall situation of Aesthetics and the main development trends in the 21st century, which relate to the convergence of Aesthetics and Art in individual areas of scientific aesthetic research in general and in parallel in individual artistic fields (especially in literature, drama, fine arts, music and the artistic use of media). The research will focus on three main areas of concern: 1. the development of North American, English and German Aesthetics after 2000; 2. the development of artistic tendencies after 2000; 3. main tendencies and points of contact with the development of aesthetic thinking in Slovakia. In the second stage, the research will focus on the divergence of aesthetic thinking and art, which manifests itself in a specific way on the soil of the latest artistic trends of modernity at the end of the 20th century and adequately follows them in contemporary postmodern artistic trends. Identification of manifestations of philosophical-aesthetic thinking in the context of artistic development in the second half of the 20th century. Manifestations of new tendencies in individual artistic fields - literature, drama, music, film, and media. Topicality of problems in the 21st century in the field of philosophical and aesthetic thinking. An analysis of procedures used in the analysis of determining aspects of philosophical-aesthetic reflection of contemporary art. Member of the research team.

Key stages in the development of Russian art of the 19th and 20th centuries and their resonance in the European cultural space: VEGA No. 1/0078/13, 2013–2016. A new analysis of selected works of Russian art and a description of individual key stages in the development of Russian art of the 19th and 20th centuries; confronting new analyses with current knowledge about works of art in the wider European artistic context; the project asserts the elimination of common stereotypes about Russian art (authors, works, periods, etc.), the elimination of stereotypes about the relationship of Russian art to the wider European context and emphasizes the reflection of this art in more complex syntheses (not analyzing the phenomenon of Russian art only in a narrow context of isolated environment, but through the penetration and dialogue of various non-national influences and phenomena and in the syncretic view of various types of art).
