2015-2017: KEGA 072UK-4/2015 Course book Russian Lingua-Cultural Studies

Deputy project manager

The aim of the project was to research the problems of lingvorealia, the main output was the Course book Russian Lingua-Cultural Studies, in which the methodological concept of the unity of language and culture and the Glossary of Russian Lingvorealia were applied.

The project was ranked among the TOP projects by the KEGA agency, "it fulfilled its objectives excellently (with achieving society-wide benefits)". The bilingual glossary Glossary of Russian Linguistic Rhetoric (co-authored with I. Dulebova and K. Hrčková) was nominated by the Union of Interpreters and Translators in the Dictionary of the Year 2019 competition (http://www.jtpunion.org/Soutez-Slovnik-roku/Seznam-slovniku-2019) and received an honorable mention from the jury (https://www.jtpunion.org/Soutez-Slovnik-roku/Cena-SLOVNIK-ROKU-2019-udelena).

2017-2019: VEGA 1/0539/17 Language and Conflict. The Making of Enemy in Russian Public Discourse

The project aimed to identify discourse strategies and linguistic devices that help to establish boundaries between collective subjects.

The main outputs of the project were two monographs: Cingerová, N., Dulebová, I. Jazyk a konflikt. My a tí druhí v ruskom verejnom diskurze (2019) a Cingerová, N. Červenejúce sa slová. Sovietizmy v sovietskom a ruskom verejnom diskurze (2018).

2022-2026: APVV Translation and aspects of reception of social science and humanities texts as cultural and literary transfer in the 20th century


The projects tries to answer the question to what extent the social and scientific valorization of circulating translation texts was / is present in the receiving (Slovak) scientific and socio-cultural environment, to what extent translations saturated the social demand in the 20th century, and whether and how they contributed to the development of individual researched disciplines (to their enrichment, innovation, reception), or, alternatively, what role the fact of non-translation or translation of irrelevant texts or the fact, of erroneous / poor / incompetent / translation played.

The aim of the project is to analyse communication strategies in securitisation discourse and to identify values, subjects and actions that are constructed as a problem.

This is an ongoing project.

2021-2023 KEGA 003UK-4/2021 Course book Media Linguistics

Project manager

The aim of the project is to develop a university textbook Media Linguistics, which will introduce students to the linguistic specifics and principles of linguistic analysis of traditional media genres, as well as new genres emerging in the Internet space.

This is an ongoing project.

2018-2020: KEGA 052UK-4/2018 Course book Culture Regions of Russia in Tourism


The aim of the project was to introduce students to the diverse forms of contemporary Russian space, to increase their linguocultural, areal and professional competence and their chances to take their place in the tourism labour market. 

The main output of the project is a glossary Cingerová, N., Dulebová, I., Jalová, K. Kultúrne a historické pamiatky Ruska (2019) and a course book Cingerová, N., Dulebová, I. Kultúrne regióny Ruska (2021).
