Remarcable similarities have been noticed between approaches of Individual Psychology and Psychotraumatology in therapy and healing.
Individual psychology uses encouragement as profound attitude in counselling/therapeutical processes. Psychotraumatology uses stabilisation and re-sourcing.
Both schools od psychology deal with memories. For individual Psychology memories are projective diagnostic method for understanding personality/lifestyle of an individual and their reconstruction serves as a measurement of a behavioral change.
For Psychotraumatology traumatic memories are the base for treatment and healing altogether with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Shapiro (1995, 2001) hypothesiszes that EDMR therapy facilitates the accesssing of the traumatic memory network, so that information processing is enahnced, with new associations forged between the traumatic memory and more adaptive information.
Both diciplines work within subjective frame of work, subjective perception, interpretation and construction of an individual.
Both branches od psychology are contextual and relational.
Therapeutical relationship/alliance is equally substiantial in both branches. IP and psychotraumatology are effective and bring clear understanding and relief in brief time.
Particular differences between Individual Psychology and Psychotraumatology will also be mentioned in the presentations with the focus laid on single trauma, complex trauma in childhood and adulthood and parenting styles.
Case studies from private practise of presenter will be used to illustrate above mentioned concepts.

The issue of belongingness is linked to many areas of human life. One of them is a work area – the organization, where an individual works. The importance of the work area was recognized also by Adler himself, as he included it in the three life tasks: love task, social task and work task. The belongingness as interpreted by individual psychology is represented by the concept of social interest. From the Adlerian perspective, the individual needs to have adequately developed social interest in order to be able to solve all the life tasks. Since we are interested in the relation between social interest and work as one of the life tasks, it begs the question, which concepts of belongingness brings the field of organizational psychology. In a contrast to social interest, in the organization we deal with a specific kind of sense of belonging that an employee feels to the particular organization, where they work. There are two well-known concepts of belonging to organization in the organizational literature and research: organizational identification and organizational commitment (specifically affective organizational commitment). The goal of this paper is to bring an original link between social interest and organization, a place where an individual performs one of his life tasks. We will focus on the similarities and differences between social interest, organizational identification and affective organizational commitment. The theory of social interest assumes that its developed degree is represented by the ability to cooperate, contribute and be empathic (Ansbacher, 1968). This kind of behaviour is very desirable at work. In organizational psychology is this kind of behaviour covered in the concept of organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB), which includes voluntary contributing and prosocial behaviour of the employee in or to organization. If the individual feels he belongs and is a significant part of his social environment, he will strive to contribute to its welfare and welfare of the whole society. If the employee feels he belongs, he is identified with and emotionally attached to the organization he works in, he will strive to behave according to the organizational norms, cooperate with co-workers and spread the good reputation of the organization around. So the parallel of the belonging and contributing is found in organizational environment where the relation individual – society that was emphasized by Adler in his revolutionary psychological theory is represented by the relation employee – organization. In this paper we will clarify the concept of social interest and introduce the concepts of organizational identification, affective organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behaviour and their possible links and connections.

Introduction: Psychological immunity refers to an individual’s potential to cope with psychological risk factors, as well as to promote and maintain mental health and well-being. The method of its measurement is the Psychological Immune Competence Inventory (PICI), which appears to have good psychometric parameters. Despite the use of translated versions in various foreign studies, the authors have found no studies verifying its fac-tor structure or reliability.
Aims: In this article, our objective is to present the results of the PICI pilot validation in Slovakia. The Slovak version of PICI was expected to have psychometric properties comparable to those of the original version.
Methods: We collected data from a research sample of 213 healthcare stu-dents (162 women and 51 men) aged 19 to 35 years (M = 21.18; SD = 2.81), and validated the internal structure of the inventory using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via employing the DWLS estimation method. The convergent validity of individual factors was further verified by correla-tion with personality traits, psychopathological symptoms, preferred cop-ing strategies and trait emotional intelligence.
Results: The results of the second-order confirmatory analysis indicate an acceptable fit of the original model to our data. The convergent validity of the observed individual psychological immunity factors was also supported. Conclusions: The Slovak version of PICI showed promising psychomet-ric properties. The research serves as a reference to Slovak standardization. Nevertheless, further validation is recommended in a representative sample.
