Vančová, V., Halamová, J., & Soková, B. (2025). Compassion satisfaction and compassion fatigue among teachers: Mixed study. Teaching and Teacher Education. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.tate.2025.105350
The study focuses on compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction among teachers using a mixed-methods research design integrating qualitative and quantitative approaches. The findings provide deeper insight into teachers’ emotional experiences and identify self-compassion and reduced self-criticism as important protective factors of professional well-being. The study also evaluates a brief emotion-focused intervention demonstrating positive effects on increasing self-compassion and reducing self-criticism, thereby contributing to the development of evidence-based interventions supporting teachers’ psychological resilience.
