As a researcher, co-investigator or principal investigator I have participated in several European and national projects in the Inco Copernicus, Esprit, Socrates Minerva, Kaleidoscope schemes; in UNESCO IITE I have led two global research projects: ICT in Early Childhood Education (we have involved a network of 17 kindergartens from 10 countries around the world in the research) and ICT in Primary Education. The outputs of these projects are four monographs, which I wrote either as an author (in one case) or with a group of co-authors (in three cases). I have been an expert advisor of a national project on Further Education of Informatics Teachers in Slovakia. I am a member of various committees in Slovakia and abroad. Between 2008 and 2012 I was a member of the international team of Microsoft advisors for the Partners in Learning programme. From 2017 to 2021, I was an advisor in a national project to implement modern computing education in Hong Kong. Since 2017, I am the guarantor of the Informatics with Emil project, which the faculty is working on with the non-profit organization Indícia.
