STICS (Smart Transformation and Innovation Consortium Slovakia), Next Generation EU. Project team member/implementer.

The STICS consortium accelerates innovation-driven transformation through the in-house development, testing, and implementation of solutions, and by fostering cross-sector collaboration. We remove barriers between demand and supply, build the foundations of a functioning innovation market, and do so transparently—through co-creation and co-design with the involvement of all relevant stakeholders. Innovation is most constrained in local governments; therefore, STICS transforms the “data jungle” into a clear highway of innovation and opens it to everyone who wants to improve life in municipalities and cities and strengthen Slovakia’s competitiveness.

“Project Management for EU Urban Transformation in the Context of Climate Change and Energy Transition” (PM4U), 2023–2026, Jean Monnet Actions in the field of Higher Education: Modules (ERASMUS-JMO-2023-MODULE), Project No. 101126659.

PM4U focuses on addressing challenges related to the effective management of urban transformation initiatives in the European Union in the context of climate change and the energy transition. This is achieved through the development of a Master’s and PhD-level module on project management for EU urban transformation. The module aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively plan and implement such initiatives, with a strong emphasis on applying project management principles and practices to real-life situations within the EU urban transformation context.

The module also aims to promote inclusion and diversity in the planning and implementation of urban transformation projects in the EU by fostering dialogue between academia and society, including policymakers at local, regional, and European levels, as well as other stakeholders. In addition, the project contributes to the development of more sustainable and competitive cities in the EU, which can stimulate economic growth and create high-quality jobs.
