Attendance and presentation of research results took place on days 11-12. April 2024. The paper was accepted under the title "The impact of the pandemic and the energy crisis on financial performance of small and medium-sized enterprises in the countries of the European Union", published in in English as: "The Impact of Pandemic and Energy Crisis on the Financial Performance of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in European Countries". The goal of the research was to evaluate the extent of the impact of the covid-19 pandemic and the energy crisis on financial performance of SMEs in EU countries. The conclusion of the project confirmed the existence of correlation between the economic crisis caused by the covid-19 pandemic, together with the current problem increases in energy prices and the financial performance of SMEs. Despite the aforementioned negatives sides of the energy crisis, we can find several positive effects in the given event, which they can help SMEs in their business and improve the overall level of financial health. The need adapting to excessively increased energy prices will force some SMEs to diversify sources energy so that they are not forced to rely on only one specific energy source. Investment in a new energy equipment with renewable energy is an option. An example of the effective fulfillment of the diversification of energy sources while promoting sustainability is installation of photovoltaics. In fact, we are responsible for one of the main benefits of the energy crisis consider the need for SMEs to look for different ways of reducing electricity consumption and saving financial resources. Our findings met the stated objectives of the project and formed the basis for follow-up research and full transformation into the final output in the form of a dissertation -91 true Danihel, P.
