Ako výberové predmety si študent môže vybrať nielen určené výberové predmety (pokiaľ ich študijný plán definuje), ale akýkoľvek predmet z bloku povinne voliteľných predmetov alebo z celofakultnej ponuky predmetov, či iných fakúlt UK. Výberové predmety si študent zapíše v takej kreditovej skladbe, aby dosiahol spolu s povinnými, povinne voliteľnými predmetmi, obhajobou diplomovej práce a štátnymi skúškami min. 120 kreditov pri ukončení štúdia.
